EMPATIZA.
– “Sr.

First of all, we must start for changing ourselves. Thoroughly revise our beleifs and automatisms. Yes, these answers we said automatically when children do something that we think is not ok.
Yesterday, “mama qué sabe” bolg told about put pressure on children, and it inspires me to tell you the strategy that I use and it works me!
If I put pressure on my toddler, I just get we fall out, she shouts a lots and she doesn’t understand what happens and she don’t make what I wanted she does.
Object full of life
When I want she does something and she says to me “no”. First of all I am conscious that she is growing up and her autonomy too. Then, I put in practice what I have called “fantasy talk”.
For example, you wake up in a hurry and your toddler doesn’t want to dress. Instead act like you always use to act ” I have told you dress, we are late”; “if I go there and you don’t dress yet, you wil see” “I get dress you yes or yes”. We are talking from our adult position and we forget our worlds are different. Children live in a fantasy world plenty of emotions, they live here and now. We live in a reason world, based in duty of today and tomorrow.
EMPATHIZE. GO UP THEIR WORLD
Take, for example, a sock, put in your hand and start to fantasize:
– “Mr. Sock, I think you can’t work today because “M” doesn’t want to dress” –Mum
– “Oh, I feel like to go for a walk with these shoes so nice” — Mr. Sock
– “Well, if you want I can ask her again, but I think you aren’t lucky today” –Mum
– “M”, Mr. Sock is sad because he wanted to go for a walk with you, but I told him that it wasn’t possible because you have decided that you don’t dress today” —Mum
After this talk toddler will be happy in his/her fantasy world and accept to dress with Mr. Sock.
I hope it works you. Happy Wednesday!!
